A native of Orlando, Laura Cosgrove has been active in the business and non-profit community for over 30 years. She is the former owner and president of Eidson Insurance and currently practices law in the area of arts and entertainment. She is a graduate of the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill and the University of Florida Levin College of Law.

As a passionate advocate for at-risk children, in 2008, Laura co-founded the Foundation for Foster Children to give children in foster care personalized support for the opportunity to succeed. She has also served as chairman of the Community Leadership Council for the Howard Philips Center for Children and Families and as a Guardian Ad Litem.

In the arts community, Laura serves on the Friends of the Mennello Museum of American Art and the Winter Park Autumn Art Festival boards and is a member of the National Arts Club in New York. She and her husband, Mark, plan much of their travel around art events and enjoy collecting contemporary art.
